How to Apply

Journalists, media lawyers and activists who publish information in the public interest and use freedom of expression as a work tool are more than welcome to apply for the course.

European Journalism in the Digital Age is primarily designed for those working in the following countries of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe:

  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Czech Republic
  • Hungary
  • Kosovo
  • Macedonia
  • Montenegro
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Serbia
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Ukraine

Please note that candidates from other European countries can also apply and might be considered for acceptance on a case-by-case basis.

Prior domestic and/or international experience in the candidate’s respective area of work and in relation to the course topics will be taken into account in the selection process. In addition, the candidates must possess a strong command of English, written and verbal. Candidates who are accepted to attend the course must confirm that they will be able to commit to the course in full, both for the offline and online part.

The application for the European Journalism in the Digital Age course is now open. The deadline for all applications is Monday, March 5, 2018. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis before the deadline, so please submit as soon as possible.
