CMDS Fellow Haraszti in the Washington Post

Miklós Haraszti is a Hungarian author, professor, human rights promoter, and a Fellow at the Center for Media, Data and Society. He was a founder of Hungary’s democracy and free press movement in the 1970s. In 1989, he participated in the "Roundtable Negotiations" on the transition to free elections. Later he directed the media freedom watchdog institution of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

His article “How the spirit of 1989 sustains the Hungarian opposition’s fight against Viktor Orban”, published by the Washington Post, reflects on the results of the municipal elections in Hungary.
