Kounalakis discusses Snowden and capital punishment

'The heated debate surrounding NSA leaker Edward Snowden usually revolves around two extreme positions: Some consider him a hero and a whistle-blower worthy of clemency, while others consider his acts treasonous and believe he should be subject to the harshest punishment in our penal system.

New report on Iranian journalism co-authored by Amy Brouillette

CMCS researcher Amy Brouillette coauthored “Outside In: The Practices and Perceptions of Iranian Diaspora Journalists”, the new report of the Iran Media Project, which looks at the transnational dimension of Iranian journalism. The Iran Media Project is a collaborative network of the Center for Global Communication Studies at the Annenberg School for Communication (University of Pennsylvania.

“The Independence of the Media and its Regulatory Agencies”, new edited book by Kristina Irion

Newly published by Intellect, the edited volume “The Independence of the Media and its Regulatory Agencies” joins the ECREA book series, collecting innovative research from European scholars. The volume was coedited by Wolfgang Schulz, Peggy Valcke and Kristina Irion, Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Policy at CEU and CMCS affiliate. CMCS Fellow Joost van Beek also served as copy-editor of the book.
