Craig Calhoun, renowned American sociologist, former director and president of the London School of Economics, and president of the Berggruen Institute, Los Angeles, will discuss the impact of technological change on the public sphere and public discourse as part of CEU’s university-wide course: “Journalism and Social Change in Historical Perspective.” The talk will be moderated by Michael Ignatieff, CEU’s rector and president. CMDs fellow and visiting faculty at the School of Public Policy, Dean Starkman and Constantin Iordachi, professor at the Department of History will introduce the event.
