Balkan Insight Publishes Another Investigation Within a CMDS Project

June 25, 2020

The article, In a Romanian Fishing Village, Caviar is a Distant Memory, written by Marcel Gascón Barberá and Ana Maria Luca, covers the hidden history of exploitation of a small fishermen community in a village at the mouth of the Danube Delta lower channel, Sfantu Gheorghe.

The article is the result of the cooperation of academic researchers and journalists in our Black Waters project, a hybrid investigative-research and advocacy project that responds to the need for engaging reporting on environmental damage, corruption and the consequences for social justice in Central and Eastern Europe.
