Agnieszka Konkel
Prior to her assignment with the CMDS, Agnieszka worked for the European Parliament (Committee for the Internal Market and Consumer Protection), where she was responsible for the negotiations on cyber security, telecommunications package, data protection and the Digital Single Market in general. Beforehand, worked for the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU, where she was in charge of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU in the field of information society. At The Foundation for Information Society Development, Agnieszka was a part of the highly successful Global Libraries Programme of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This work has been preceded by the traineeship with the European Commission. Currently, she holds the position of counsellor at the Ministry of Administration and Digitization.
Agnieszka graduated from the University of Manchester as a Chevening scholarship holder, and the Nicolas Copernicus University and Warsaw School of Economics. Studied at Aarhus School of Business, Central European University and University of Aarhus. Co-authored many publications in the field of information society, among others, Challenging conventional views on mobile-telecommunications investment: evidence from conflict zones (with Professor Richard Heeks).
