Coyer to speak at "What is worth archiving' workshop in Dublin
Kate Coyer will speak on the opening panel at the workshop, “What is Worth Archiving?", a workshop organized by Near Media Co-Op in partnership with CAPTCHA EU Culture Initiative and with the support of the Dublin Community Forum. This event will be particularly relevant to community media staff & volunteers, media professionals, academics, students and community & minority groups underrepresented in mainstream archiving and open access technologies.
Coyer and Joost van Beek will also be participating in a project meeting for the CAPTCHA EU project, Creative Approaches to Living Cultural Archives supported by Culture Program of the European Union's Directorate General for Education and Culture. CMCS is a project partner along with Radio Corax, Radio Fro, Near FM/TV. The project aims to promote European collaboration between community media organizations and to promote the concept of “open content” and innovative digital exchange and distribution and runs from September 2013 to August 2015.
