Marius Dragomir Joins Advisory Board of Hungarian Fact-Checking Website

CMDS Director Marius Dragomir is a member of the Advisory Board for new Hungarian fact-checking website Lakmusz.hu.
The first Hungarian fact-checking website is run by a consortium of news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP), the publisher of Hungarian news portal 444.hu, and Media Univeralis Foundation, a Hungarian university foundation.
The project is co-financed by the European Commission for 15 months in the framework of the European Digital Media Observatory.
In addition to Marius Dragomir, the Advisory Board includes:
- Márton Gergely, editor-in-chief of Hungarian weekly HVG
- Joanna Krawczyk, chair of Polish Gazeta Wyborcza Foundation
- Josef Trappel, head of the Department of Communication Research at the University of Salzburg, Austria
- Stefánia Kapronczay, executive director of the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union
- Róbert Kotroczó, news director of RTL Hungary
- Péter Krekó, director of Hungarian think tank Political Capital
- József Péter Martin, executive director of Transparency International Hungary
- Márta Pardavai, co-chair of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee
The board will regularly assess the work done by Lakmusz.
