Kirill Bryanov
Kirill Bryanov was a Master's student at CEU Political Science department. His final thesis, supervised by Professor Philip N. Howard, was a study of the Russian media market's ownership structure and its political implications. Kirill is planning to expand this research to his future PhD project. He was also involved in a research on political bots with CMDS.
Kirill graduated from Saint Petersburg State University Political Science department in 2012, before joining a Moscow-based media research institute. The topic of his research has been the role of social media in Russian protests of 2011-2012. His research interests include media ownership concentration, media systems of post-Soviet and CEE countries, political mobilization through social media, and methodology of social network analysis.
