The CMCS hosts a discussion led by Joan Barata Mir, Professor of Communication Law and Vice Dean at the Blanquerna Communication and International Relations School, Universitat Ramon Llull (Barcelona), who will provide a broad reflection on how to regulate media an in the digital and convergent world - and the question if it is even possible to regulate them at all.

Joan Barata Mir is Vice Dean and professor of Communication Law at the Blanquerna Communication and International Relations School, Universitat Ramon Llull (Barcelona).  He has also been Secretary General of the Catalonia Audiovisual Council. He gained his PhD at the University of Barcelona and is an international specialist in media law.
