Courtney Radsch on Elon Musk’s Twitter Takeover in Axios

Our Fellow Courtney Radsch talked to Axios about the brighter side of Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover.

The article explains how the planned acquisition of microblogging platform Twitter by billionaire and self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist” Elon Musk is shocking news for many, but it may not be as bad as it seems.

Courtned Radsch sees a partisan divide in who is happy and who is not about the deal. As for Musk’s free speech policies, she points out that Twitter is a global platform; Musk will soon realize that he will have to moderate content to some extent or risk Twitter getting banned in a number of countries. 

If he decided not to comply with the national regulations of countries that restrict free speech, "Wouldn't that be an interesting experiment?," Courtney Radsch said.
