CMDS Director Marius Dragomir will moderate a large panel of government and civil society representatives at the 2021 Global Summit of the Open Government Partnership.

The session moderated by Dragomir is entitled Eastern Partnership and Western Balkans Ministerial Round Table on Integrity and Innovation. It will bring together decision-makers and open government leaders from the Eastern Partnership and Western Balkans to discuss challenges in a post-COVID world and draw a roadmap for a regional reform agenda. High-level remarks will be followed by a round of facilitated interventions from regional ministerial contributors.

The participants include Tamara Srzentić, Montenegro’s Minister of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media; Marija Obradović, Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government; OPG CEO Sanjay Pradhan; Katarína Mathernová, Deputy Director-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, European Commission; Sofia Strive, Co-Chair of Steering Committee, Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, and many others.

Open Government Partnership (OPG) was created in 2011 by government leaders and civil society advocates to promote transparent, participatory, inclusive and accountable governance. Today, it has 78 countries and 76 local governments, and thousands of civil society organizations as members.

The 2021 OGP Global Summit, held in Seoul, Republic of Korea on 15-17 December, marks the OGP’s 10th anniversary. It will provide a meaningful platform to build a stronger global movement for open government and democracy, galvanize the open government community with fresh energy, and reaffirm OGP members' commitments to open government. Its themes include Civic Space and Public Participation, Anti-corruption, and Inclusive Digital Innovation.

The session moderated by Dragomir will take place on 14 December, 22:00 KST, 14:00 CET.
