Radsch: It's an Incredibly Dangerous Time To Be a Journalist

“Existing threats to the physical safety of journalists are further compounded by the ongoing global pandemic and political unrest in many parts of the world,” our Fellow, Courtney Radsch, advocacy director at the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) said in an interview with Deutsche Welle.

She also talked about CPJ’s recently published Global Impunity Index 2020, legal appeals and lack of political leadership that could thwart the progress of reducing the number of murdered journalists in the world, and “deeply concerning press freedom records” in certain countries.
