Batorfy on Media Pluralism in Hungary

July 27, 2020

“The Hungarian media environment can pose high risks to media pluralism in Europe too,” our Fellow, Attila Batorfy, and his co-authors, Ferenc Hammer and Eszter Galambosi from the Department of Media and Communications at ELTE write in the Hungarian chapter of the Monitoring Media Pluralism in the Digital Era report, published by the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) at the European University Institute.

The Media Pluralism Monitor 2020 (MPM2020) is a scientific and holistic effort to document the health of media ecosystems, detailing threats to media pluralism and freedom in European Union member states and some candidate countries. The MPM2020 covers the years 2018-19.
