Dragomir Quoted in CPJ's Article on Diminishing Press Freedom in Hungary

May 8, 2018

In its recent article "Independent journalists in Hungary brace for tough times in next Orbán term", the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) reports on the current media climate in Hungary, quoting CMDS director Marius Dragomir, "who wrote in a blog post last year that Orbán has gained control of approximately 90% of all media in the country. As for the handful of remaining critical outlets, the only hope, Dragomir told CPJ, is that Orbán has already achieved his goals of controlling the media and its resources, and so it does not make sense to push for more."
