Veszna Wessenauer completed a Human Rights MA at CEU in 2014. During her studies she did numerous internships at Hungarian NGOs and international CSOs. Since January 2015, she hsa been involved in different projects, and has gained expertise in the field of online human rights advocacy, human rights education and became a local consultant of two international NGOs. Currently, she is the part-time local partner of EU-Russia Civil Society Forum for their upcoming General Assembly in December 2015. She conducted legal research in an EU project with the Center for Media, Data and Society on journalistic source protection. She was the local consultant of Democracy Reporting International. Her research interests consist of the following fields: freedom of expression and related values; media freedom and pluralism; right to information; challenges of online free speech; correlation of education and human rights; contemporary role of civil society; closing space of CSOs; hardships of democracy in post-communist countries.
