The workshop aims to present comparative and different international cases that could be used to inform the Lebanese efforts in this area. The organizers seek to draw lessons from the presented cases to develop a working paper that would help develop the professional frameworks regulating the media currently in Lebanon, with the aim of strengthening civil peace. The workshop will host a group of experts, media organizations and local and international organizations having extensive practical, technical and legal expertise in media regulations and media management in pluralistic and divided democratic societies.

Marius Dragomir will speak at the second session of the workshop, entitled "Media regulatory frameworks, how to balance between freedom and social responsibility", along with Dr. Zahera Harb, Ofcom member, and ENJ and university lecturer and Saloua Ghazouani, Director of ARTICLE19’s Tunisia Office.
